Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Vikas, and I built Guideify.
Product tours have a dirty secret: most of them quietly break. They record one CSS selector, someone renames a class or ships a refactor, and the tour starts pointing at nothing, or worse, at the wrong button. Usually nobody finds out until a user does.
So I built Guideify around keeping tours working:
🧲 Tours that survive refactors. Guideify records 8 signals per element, not one selector. If it isn’t confident it found the right element, it shows nothing rather than spotlighting the wrong one.
📡 It warns you before a tour breaks. When matches start getting weak, the dashboard flags “this step is about to break” before your users ever see it.
🛠️ A PM can do it alone. Add one script tag, then point at real elements in your own live app and write the steps. No engineering ticket, no screenshots, no iframe.
🪟 It can’t break your UI. The overlay lives in its own isolated layer, so your z-index: 9999 header can’t cover it and your CSS can’t mangle it.
⚡ It keeps running even if we’re down. Tours load from a CDN, not our API. The SDK is about 27 KB gzipped, with no session recording and no form values captured.
It works with plain JS, React, Vue and Next.js.
