I built GuestPress after learning that small hotel and B&B owners lose 15–25% of every booking to large booking platforms — on top of whatever they were paying for their WordPress site.
The existing solutions weren't great either: most hotel booking plugins cost $100+/month in SaaS fees, or require five plugins wired together to get a basic checkout working.
GuestPress is a WordPress plugin that gives independent properties a complete direct booking system — rooms, date picker, live pricing, WooCommerce checkout, and a bookings dashboard — all without a third-party platform taking a cut.
The free version covers everything most small hotels need. Pro adds revenue and occupancy reports, a visual calendar for blocking dates manually, and automated post-stay review requests.

I built GuestPress because friends who run small B&B's were losing money their monthly statements. When they are doing well, after platform commissions, they are handing over $3,000+ every single month to a middleman (booking platforms). For a small independent property, that's the difference between profitable and barely surviving.
They already had a WordPress site with WooCommerce. Guests were just being redirected to booking platforms to actually pay. That felt insane to me.
So I built GuestPress, a plugin that turns WooCommerce into a full direct booking engine. Guests pick their dates, see live pricing, and check out right on the hotel's own site. Zero OTA commission on every booking.
