Grux is a native macOS agent for people who work alone. It opens real terminal sessions and can undo anything it did, because every command is snapshotted into a shadow git repo first. I built this for myself over four months, because I kept paying three subscriptions to do three things on one Mac and none of them could talk to each other.
The part I did not expect to matter most: it opens real terminal sessions and can undo anything it did, because every command is snapshotted into a shadow git repo first. That one feature is what made me trust it enough to let it work while I slept. Nobody hands real work to something they cannot reverse.
It also runs swarms of agents in parallel, scaffolds and builds iOS apps, captures meetings and tells the speakers apart on device, and reads its own source to propose its next version, which I still review before approving.
It is MIT and there is nothing to buy. It runs against your own API key, or entirely against a local model with no key at all. No account, no server, no telemetry.
