GribGrab shows a 7-day hourly weather chart (a meteogram) for any location worldwide — temperature, feels-like, precipitation, wind and gusts, pressure, and cloud cover, all on one timeline. Below the chart, a plain-language "next 24 hours" summary tells you what each part of the day will feel like and how it compares to yesterday. Free, no account, installable, works offline.

Hi everyone 👋 I built GribGrab because most weather apps bury the actual data under big icons and a single "feels like" number. I wanted the meteogram — the dense hourly chart that meteorologists actually read — but clean enough to glance at on a phone. So GribGrab puts a full week of hourly weather on one timeline: temperature and feels-like, precipitation, wind + gusts, pressure, and low/mid/high cloud cover. Under the chart there's a plain-language "next 24 hours" summary — morning, afternoon, evening, night — that also tells you how each part of the day compares to yesterday at the same time ("a bit warmer than yesterday morning"). A few things I care about: - Any location worldwide — search a city or paste coordinates; save the places you check often. - Installable & offline — add it to your home screen; your last forecast loads even with no connection. - Free, no account, privacy-friendly — no sign-up, no personal data collected. - Open data — forecasts from Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0). It's a personal project and I'd genuinely love feedback on the chart density and what variable you wish it showed next. Thanks for taking a look!

Pulled it up for my area and the meteogram is way cleaner than the radar-heavy apps I usually default to. The plain-language "next 24 hours" summary is a nice touch, especially the part comparing to yesterday.

Love how quick this is to read at a glance. One thing I'd love: a toggle to overlay the previous day's actual weather on top of the forecast so I can see how today's predicted pattern stacks up against yesterday in real time without having to mentally compare the summary text.

Finally a weather view that fits on one screen without five different tabs. The plain-language "next 24 hours" summary nailed what my afternoon actually felt like versus what the icon suggested.

Love how clean and quick this is, no login nonsense and the offline mode is genuinely useful. One thing that would make it a daily driver for me: add sunrise and sunset markers on the timeline, or maybe a shaded band for daylight hours. Helps you instantly see how temperature and wind lines up with the actual day, not just clock hours.
