I'm Chris, founder of GRCBoard. I've worked in GRC (governance, risk and compliance) for more than 15 years, as a CISO, auditor and trainer.
For most of those years, risk management lived in Excel. One file for risks, one for controls, one for non-conformities. Versions emailed around. Formulas broken. Residual scores nobody had touched since the last audit. Every audit started with a day of reconciling tabs.
I got bored of it.
The alternative was a GRC suite. Expensive, slow to deploy, built for large enterprises. Too heavy for most of the teams I work with.
So I built the tool I wanted for my own work:
