Hi Product Hunt! English is not my first language, but I communicate in English most of my day: Slack, X, emails, reddit, etc. And I always double-check my English before posting or sending a message. So, I built an AI app to help me with that! The cool thing is that it works with a local AI model, so it doesn't use Internet connection, and the information doesn't leave my laptop. The techy story: I was blown away the first time I ran a local LLM, how is it possible that "ChatGPT" is running in my laptop like every other app? I started digging into that and released an open-source app to download and run local LLMs. But, like all the other apps at the moment, it was kind of confusing for a regular user, with the continues release of new AI models, each one with a more confusing name, it was hard to know which one to choose. So, I decided to build the first commercial local LLM app that's easy to use for normal humans. I needed a simple, but useful task, and to scratch my own itch: grammar checker. This is my first product trying to use local LLMs to solve real problems in a simple manner. I expect to launch more soon (I'm already building the next one). DMs are open if you have any app in mind that you would like to run locally in your computer. For the curious, it's built in Rust.

Super promising alternative to passwords. Thanks for the PH offer. What does your pricing usually look like on this? Awesome! I’ve been needing something like this! I’m always forgetting my passwords. Thank god I can’t forget my face :D This looks super solid. Do you have any case studies of apps and platforms which have rolled out this option already or is this brand new? Slick design on the product page. I am curious to see how it works on the backend. I’ll give this a try now. Congrats on the user friendly interface judging by the product video. This comes in super handy. I’ve been searching for a similar solution that offers an alternative to passwords sign-ins. Has there been no other competitor yet who created a similar solution? Looks interesting. I read the TechinAsia article about you guys wanting to build the Stripe for visual sign ins. Where are you planning on taking this in the future and what does your product roadmap look like? This looks awesome! Congrats to the team!

It's fantastic that it works without needing a subscription or an internet connection, which is really handy. Have you thought about making GrammarBot available on other platforms, such as Windows or smartphones? It could become very popular with even more users. Awesome work on developing such a helpful tool!

It works with a local AI model, so there's no need for subscriptions or an internet connection. This is amazing. I like it very much. And it's more useful

Congrats on the launch! This is a great competitor to the other tools out there, which are online like Grammarly.

Julio, GrammarBot is a game-changer for non-native speakers and privacy enthusiasts. The offline feature is excellent. How did you tackle the challenges of implementing the local AI model in Rust? Eager to see your upcoming local LLM apps!

Looks great! Is there anyway to show suggestions on what its editing like grammerly?

Have you considered the App Store? I could not find it there. There is people that only want to download apps there. There is a layer of security and also makes everything easy to deal with different computers.
