GradeHQ — What do you need on the final?
Drop the syllabus. Know your grades. Keep your privacy.
GradeHQ is a private, open-source grade calculator for college students. Unlike classic tools that force you to manually type in every percentage weight, GradeHQ uses AI auto-fill. Just drop in a syllabus PDF and/or Canvas screenshot, and it instantly maps out your course categories and scores. Pick a target grade, and it solves for the exact score you need on what's left. It runs 100% locally in your browser storage, no accounts, no databases, and zero tracking.
Hey Product Hunt!
I built GradeHQ because every finals week, my friends and I would stress out trying to figure out our exact standing in our classes. I got tired of digging through 10-page syllabi just to find the grading policy and manually typing weights into old online calculators. I wanted something modern and effortless, but also completely private.
It started as a basic calculator, but I realized the biggest roadblock for students is the tedious setup time. That’s why I added the AI parsing feature so you can just drop in a syllabus PDF or Canvas screenshot and get a complete breakdown instantly.
Originally, I required users to put in their own API keys to use the AI, but it completely ruined the seamless user experience. I ended up rewriting the backend to run through a free server-side proxy so it works right out of the box for everyone without sacrificing any privacy.
It's completely free and open source, and I'd love to hear your thoughts!
