A free GPX viewer for Mac, iPhone and iPad. See climbs in colour, heart rate and power when your file contains them, moving time, pace and splits. Open multiple tracks and waypoints, preview routes in Finder with Quick Look, and try public sample files. No account or uploads. Open source under MIT.
Hi everyone. GPX Explore started as a favour to myself: open a GPX track, see it on a map, see the climb. In the 30 days ending September 18, it had 506 new downloads, 418 on the Mac.
Version 1.5 adds more of the workout: charts for the sensor data your file carries, moving time and splits, multiple tracks and waypoints, and a Quick Look preview coloured by grade. Real files shaped it: a 2001 handheld log, a planned route, and a Garmin recording need different care.
There is a demo on the page you can scrub without installing anything, plus public sample files. The app is free and open source. I would love to hear which GPX files it fails on.
