I built gputop because every time I was running GPU workloads, whether it was quantised model inference, training experiments, or just keeping an eye on cluster utilisation, I kept switching between dashboards or generic tools that were not built for GPUs. I wanted something in the terminal that felt as fast and immediate as htop, but designed around how GPU infrastructure actually needs to be monitored. So gputop is a keyboard first terminal monitor for GPU infrastructure. Currently only supports Apple Silicon and Nvidia GPUs. This is still early, so I would love to hear what you think. What would make this more useful for your own GPU setups? Feature requests and feedback are very welcome.
