Hello Product Hunt! Anton here, creator of the original open source gpt-engineer (different from this). Last year, just a month into development of we were surprise hunted and made #1 Product of the day & week. We added an ‘alpha’ label to GPT Engineer and were completely energized by the shared interest in what we’re building - an AI Engineer which enables anyone to build apps and ship 10x faster. Over the past months tens of thousands of users signed up, and we personally onboarded hundreds - relentlessly iterating. We’ve made leaps in stability & reliability. Generating a new front-end takes on average 15 seconds, to go from prompt to prototype. Edits take seconds — quick enough to stay in flow while iterating towards a viable product. Errors can be fixed by AI. Deploying takes a single click. Now - founders, CTOs, product engineers, and maintainers of internal tools are able to ship faster than ever. GPT Engineer excels at building front-end, syncs 2-way with GitHub (so you can collaborate at source, own your code) and also can automatically integrate with Supabase to build full-stack web apps. With that, we’re graduating from ‘alpha’ to ‘beta’. We have a waitlist, but we’d love to fast track Product Hunters who match the descriptions above. We’d love to have you onboard to help shape the future of development, and pave the way to an AI engineer which enables anyone to create software. Sign up for the waitlist at gptengineer.app, or comment with a specific use-case to get a chance to get fast tracked!

Been using the product since day one, and I'm super excited about the future of software development! I love how GPTEngineer is focused on solving existing and evaluable problems instead of trying to be a catch-all like "DevinAI". It's great to see AI being used to speed up building prototypes — such a practical and impactful use case. Overall, it's awesome to watch this project grow. Huge congrats to the team!

OMG - I created 2 projects (both within about 8 minutes of 1st use.. one at around 6am !! ,, the next one after work, took me using plain English instructions!!! insane!

Wow, Anton! This sounds like a game-changer for devs everywhere. The ability to go from prompt to prototype in just 15 seconds is almost like having a magic wand! 🪄 Can't wait to see how this will speed up the entire development process and make collaboration with GitHub seamless. It’s impressive that you went from alpha to beta so quickly, especially with that kind of user interest. I'm curious about the integration with Supabase—any examples on how to leverage it for database functionalities? Great work, and I'm definitely interested in getting fast-tracked on the waitlist! Let's shape the future of coding together!

Congrats, @antonosika, on moving from 'alpha' to 'beta'! Looking forward to seeing how GPT Engineer continues to evolve. I can totally imagine using this for rapid prototyping in my next project. Will definitely be signing up for the waitlist!

Incredible good: Results, UX, Integration Btw... Would love to build Vue based code too

That's amazing. Congrats on the launch. The ability to generate front-ends in seconds and seamlessly integrate with GitHub and Supabase is impressive. Well done :)

I recommend GPTEngineer.app for developers who want to speed up the process of creating web applications!

Congratulations on your exciting milestone, Anton and team! 🎉 Moving from ‘alpha’ to ‘beta’ is a huge achievement, and it’s incredible to see how GPT Engineer has evolved. The advancements in speed, reliability, and integration are impressive, and it's clear you’ve built something truly transformative for the development community. Kudos to everyone involved for their hard work and dedication! As you transition to beta, what feedback or feature requests from your users have been most impactful in shaping the next phase of GPT Engineer’s development?

Love the idea of chatting with AI to speed up web app development! Instant prototypes and easy deployment sound like a huge time-saver.

@antonosika : You really opened up the world of LLMs to developers with gpt-engineer. Thanks for continuing to push the field forward.

Congrats on the launch. Definitely a game changer for small to mid-size projects. What is the largest project that you have seen built and deployed (even beta) with gptengineer.app? Are there any limitations for large-ish projects (e.g with several tens of thousands of lines)?

Congratulation on the launch!! I would want to build a RegTech tool simplifying the sharing of data between fintechs and banks to maintain regulatory compliance. Access to the tool would be super welcome!

Great, for people who don't have a lot of programming knowledge, it's possible to build a web page with a simple natural language and publish it online

Would love to put it through its paces to build out a platform for online trading journal and analytics

This is pretty sweet, and feels a lot more real with the github integration. I was able to spin up a front end with one sentence and 30seconds wait. I'm curious when you will support building BE as a no-code or low-code engineer? Would be amazing. Congrats on the launch @antonosika and team!

Congrats on the launch! What are your plans for future integrations with popular front-end frameworks? I'm excited to see how this evolves in the future. How long did it take to develope this?
