As someone who loves the outdoors, hiking, and geological history, I always found it incredibly frustrating to find reliable information on fossil collecting. Existing data is usually buried in academic papers, outdated forums, or confusing local government statutes. Worst of all, it's hard to know if a site is on private property or has strict "no-collecting" regulations.
I built GoFossilHunting to solve this. It’s an interactive platform built for hikers, amateur paleontologists, and nature lovers to discover what lies beneath their feet safely and legally.
