GoalComp
World Cup prediction game you can play with your friends
GoalComp is a World Cup prediction game where you create a private pool, share the code with your mates and predict the matches and goal scorers to earn points. Pools fit up to 150 people and the scoring system is fully customizable so every group can play their own way. Made by a football fan who was looking for a free game that makes any World Cup match exciting and can be played the way you want!
I built GoalComp to make every World Cup game exciting to watch, especially with your friends. You'll be competing with them to finish on top of the leaderboard. Anyone can play, as the World Cup is always unpredictable... and this time even bigger than ever with 48 teams!
⚽ Create a free private pool and invite up to 150 friends
⚙️ Customize the scoring system so you can play by your own rules
🎯 Predict matches and top scorers across the whole tournament
🏆 Battle it out on the leaderboard
This is the first web app I built and I am still improving, so any feedback is appreciated! It's been amazing to see the first users enjoying it. Once all the official squads are out, the top scorers will be updated. Apart from that, GoalComp is ready to play. If you have an idea for additional features, let me know in the comments and I might add them before the World Cup starts!

Who hunted GoalComp?
GoalComp was hunted by Bas de Groot. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
