Got tired of paying for cloud storage just to keep photos I barely open. Already used GitHub daily, so I built GitSnap. Sign in with GitHub, drag photos, upload. They sit in your own private repo. 1GB free, no subscription, no middleman. Built this in a weekend out of pure frustration. It's not trying to replace Google Photos, it's just a dead simple backup that costs nothing.
Hey PH, I built this because my phone kept hitting storage limits and I refused to pay ₹149/month for photos I open twice a year. I'm on GitHub every day anyway, so I wondered if I could just use it as photo storage. Turns out you can. Spent a weekend building it. It's rough around the edges but it works. Would genuinely love to hear if it breaks for you or if something feels clunky, I'm actively fixing things. Thanks for checking it out.
