RoadRaven turns a plain roadmap.json into a live visual tree. Any process can update a node over WebSocket — so Claude Code (via the bundled MCP plugin) moves your tasks as it finishes them, and a CI run can flip a node to green. It's local-first (binds to 127.0.0.1, works offline, no cloud), keyboard-first to edit, and the schema is yours to define. Windows + Linux, alpha. Free for personal & noncommercial use.
I built RoadRaven to scratch my own itch. When you're working on something with a lot of moving parts, your plan and your actual work drift apart fast - the plan lives in a doc or in your head, while the real state is scattered across terminals, CI, and AI agents. The doc is out of date the moment you write it, and slowly turns into fiction.
It started as a personal study- and project-tracker. The moment it clicked was watching nodes flip status on their own as Claude Code worked through tasks - I hadn't touched anything, I just opened the app and the current state was right there. That's the whole idea: your plan, watching itself.
Local first, keyboard first, non-opinionated schema, built for agents supervision.

Who hunted RoadRaven?
RoadRaven was hunted by Mateusz Woźniak. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
