A Laravel-based POS and inventory system built around the day-to-day realities of small retail businesses. Shop-Control helps manage products, track inventory, record sales, and monitor store activity from a single dashboard without the complexity of larger ERP-style systems.
I built Shop-Control while exploring how real retail systems handle daily operations like sales, inventory tracking and staff management.
The main problem I noticed was how fragmented and repetitive these systems often are. Many small businesses either rely on overly complex tools or rebuild similar logic from scratch each time they need a POS or inventory system.
I wanted to understand what a "real-world" retail operations system looks like when built from the ground up, so i designed Shop-Control as a complete Laravel-based system with role-based access, product management, sales tracking, and inventory control.
The approach evolved as I built it. At first, it was just a basic POS concept, but over time it became a more structured system rather than just some cool features.
This project was less about launching a product and more about learning how retail systems are actually designed in practice and turning that into something fully working and reusable and not to mention actually solves the problem of modern day retail stores.
