Hi Product Hunt!
Five years ago GiftPicker was a little side project a group of Presently interns picked up. We launched it here, landed #3 Product of the Day, and then life moved on. But year after year, people kept using it, and came back to find gifts for partners, parents, and friends.
So this year, GiftPicker finally got the attention it deserved! I spent the last few months rebuilding it from the ground up: a new matching algorithm, better quiz questions, a gift database 4x the size, a full redesign, and a bunch of new features. Every gift in it has been hand-picked or hand-reviewed.
How it works: you answer five quick questions about the person you're shopping for (who they are to you, the occasion, what they're into, the vibe, and your budget), and GiftPicker gives you a shortlist of gifts.
My three favorite new ships:
- A much smarter algorithm and better gift tagging, so matches are more accurate
- Ability for users to give feedback on gifts and request more against a given criteria, so the list keeps getting better
- Share links, so you can send your picks to whoever you're gifting with
