Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built GiftIdeasForDay because my family's gifting ran on a chaotic group chat: forgotten birthdays, duplicate presents, and a Secret Santa "draw" that the organizer always secretly knew.
So the rules I built it around:
Nobody has to install anything or make an account except the organizer. Your grandma clicks a link, sees the list, claims a gift.
The Secret Santa draw is secret from everyone, including me, including the organizer. Exclusions (couples don't draw each other), budgets, and wish lists included.
Reminders arrive when you can still act: 30 days, 7 days, day-of, in your own timezone.
It's free. It's funded by honest gift guides with affiliate links - guides that tell you when to skip a product, because that's the only kind I'd want to read.
It's in English and German (Wichteln is a religion in Germany 🎁). I'd love to hear how your family organizes gifting - and what would make this useful enough to replace the group chat.
