Gidipex
The trading arcade — futures, contests, hall of fame
Gidipex is a trading arcade. Real markets, real money, real stakes — structured like a competition. Trade crypto futures, enter live contests, climb seasonal leaderboards, and earn your spot in the hall of fame. Luck flatters you for a week; the leaderboard is honest over a season. Players who learn rise. Spot, OTC, and P2P sit alongside futures for when you need them. Built by operators running digital-currency rails since 2010 — open to traders worldwide.
Trading platforms have a teaching problem.
People come to crypto because they want to get good at it. They
get a candle chart, a 100x button, and a Discord telling them
to buy. A week later they're broke. The exchange made its spread
on every trade either way.
I've shipped a lot of exchange screens and looked at a lot more.
They're all the same. Built to take orders, not teach you
anything. So we tried building the other thing.
We call it a trading arcade.
Real money, real markets, but you play it like a competition.
There's a daily contest with a $10K starting balance. Prize
pools are $2K right now and we scale them up as the leaderboard
fills, with a cap at $50K a day. Seasonal rankings, a hall of
fame for the people who actually climb. Costs nothing to enter.
A lot of the product changed while we were building it. We
thought we were shipping a fairly normal exchange (spot,
futures, OTC, P2P). Then we kept seeing the same thing in
analytics: people open a chart, stare at it, close it, and go
ask their friend on WhatsApp. So we put the assistant inside
WhatsApp. Check prices, place trades, set alerts, look at your
positions, all from chat. Felt obvious once we did it.
The contests started as a "we should probably have this"
thing. Then they kind of took over and reshaped the whole
product.
A few things I'd actually love to hear from people.
Does the arcade angle work, or does it sound like gamification
gloss painted on a normal exchange?
The WhatsApp idea: useful or gimmicky?
If you wanted to actually learn to trade, what's missing here?
If you've blown up an account before and want a cheaper way
back in, the arena is free.
