I'm excited to share Ghost with you today!
Ghost started from a simple frustration: every terminal AI tool I tried required API keys, billing setup, or a bunch of configuration before I could actually use it. I wanted something I could install and start using immediately.
So I built Ghost β a free AI assistant that lives in your terminal. Just install it, run `ghost`, and start chatting. No API keys required to get started.
It's built in Go, works on Linux, macOS, and Windows, and comes with free AI models out of the box. For users who want more flexibility, Ghost also supports providers like Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, GitHub Copilot, and others.
This project has been a labor of love, and I'd be incredibly grateful for your feedback, feature requests, and honest opinions. I'll be here throughout the day to answer questions and discuss ideas.
