This product is excellent! During the job search process, the employers always have various way to learn about job seekers' background, but it's often difficult for job seekers to gain a clear understanding of the employers. Sometimes, job seekers attend interviews only to find our that the company is not as it portrayed itself, which greatly waste the candidates' time and energy. I think Ghost Jobs can effectively address this pain point we face today.

Does Ghost Jobs also offer resources or guides to help job seekers report these suspicious listings effectively, or is it more about collaborative insights through community discussions? It’s an incredible initiative either way!
The battle between labor and capital is only becoming more tense and adversarial as AI and automation make the hiring process less humane, more optimised, and more algorithmic.
Time for a revolution?
it feels to me like the jobs situation in software (but also elsewhere) is going to continue to be somewhat broken.
people will be able to submit an all time high volume of applications - likely with automation workflows and ai
employers are going to screen all of these applications with yet more automated tooling.
it seems like so much of getting jobs is just going to come down to meeting people IRL and networking -- basically derisking that you are interacting with a party that actually wants to participate in the transaction (hiring or looking for work).
this tool derisks that the employer is actually serious about hiring, which is for sure a step in the right direction. Im not sure this tool would prevent someone from non-specifically spamming a job listing of an employer with an automated tool, which feels like the other half of this problem.
