GetSpace
Clean up any folder by swiping, files never leave your Mac
Swipe through a messy folder one file at a time: delete, keep, move or rename, all by keyboard. Big preview, smart groups for old installers and duplicates, undo at every step. Everything goes to the Trash after a summary. Offline, no account. Mac and Windows.
Hi Product Hunt, I’m the solo maker of GetSpace. 👋
I never cleaned my Downloads folder because doing it in Finder or Explorer felt like work. Sorting files by hand takes forever, so I looked for a more efficient way. But I also wanted to stay in control of every deletion, nothing disappears without my say-so. So I made it feel like swiping.
GetSpace shows one file at a time with a big preview. ← delete, → keep, ↓ skip, M move, R rename. It works for any messy folder: old installers, duplicates, screenshots, PDFs. Early users also told me it’s great for sorting photos, since the big preview makes decisions quick.
Private: files never leave your computer, no account, works offline Safe: a summary first, then everything goes to the Trash (never permanently), undo at every step Quick start: it suggests groups (installers, duplicates, screenshots) and can mark a whole group at once
Free for 200 files on day one, then 50 a day, all features. Pro is €19.99 once, no subscription. Mac and Windows. Not signed by Apple yet, so macOS shows a one-time warning on first launch.
What should I build next: similar-photo detection, remembered rules, or a list view? I’ll be here all day. Thanks for looking! 🙏
