Block distracting sites and actually stay off them. A full-screen focus nag you can't dismiss on autopilot — it looks different every time. Free, no tracking, works offline.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Get Off That Site because every website blocker I've ever installed, I disabled within a week - not because they didn't work, but because the "you're blocked" page became wallpaper. I'd click straight through without reading it. My brain learned the shape of the button faster than it learned the lesson.
So I tried to build one that refuses to become wallpaper:
It looks different every single time, so muscle memory never forms.
"Pause" isn't a click, it's a press-and-hold. And every pause you take today makes the next one harder to earn; after the third, you have to type out a confession before it unlocks.
It's free, needs no account, and does no tracking - nothing leaves your device. Felt wrong to build a focus tool that spies on you.
What I'd love feedback on: is the friction the right amount? Too gentle and you ignore it; too aggressive and you just uninstall it. Curious where you land - especially if you've tried (and ditched) blockers before.
(Quickest way to see it: add reddit.com or youtube.com and set the timer to a couple minutes.)
