I made Gesture Synth because I wanted to play with my hands, not spend an afternoon wiring up MIDI gear.
It turns a webcam into a small music setup. Your left hand can choose scale degrees or notes. Your right hand can shape volume, tone, or pitch. Switch to Air Drums when you want something more direct. Then record the whole camera performance or build a loop with four tracks.
The details matter here. It runs in the browser, does not need a microphone, does not ask for an account to start, and keeps the camera analysis and sound generation on your device. You can open a preset and hear something without learning a synth interface first.
I would love feedback from people who make music, play with new interfaces, or just want to turn a spare webcam into an instrument. Which mode should get more depth next: piano, chords, theremin, or drums?
