I built Gesture Synth because I wanted an accessible gesture-controlled synth that prioritizes user privacy—no other webcam music tool I found processed all tracking locally in-browser without sending camera feeds to cloud servers.
This free web instrument lets you control harmony with your left hand and shape volume/tone with your right hand across three play styles: chord performance, continuous theremin pitch, and simple piano melody. It includes rhythm tools like arpeggiator, auto bass, adjustable time signatures, plus three recording formats: full camera capture, privacy-friendly skeleton hand tracking, or pure audio exports.
