GeoVids syncs walking tours and dashcam drives to a moving map—watch the route as the video plays. Explore the map to find new videos, click any point, and jump to that exact moment. Then map videos yourself: pin moments to places, refine the path, and replay instantly. The mapping flow is deeply immersive and oddly addictive—you’ll lose track of time tagging “this exact spot.”
Hi everyone! I’m Keita, the maker of GeoVids.
I just launched a web app I think will click with anyone who loves maps—and anyone who enjoys watching walking tours or dashcam drives on YouTube.
When I watched those videos, I often felt something was missing: I couldn’t really tell where I was, so the “this is a real place” feeling stayed a bit blurry. Then I tried syncing the video to a moving map (like a car navigation marker), and it completely changed the experience. Suddenly every turn, landmark, and street felt more vivid and real.
The location mapping is currently done manually—but the surprising part is: the mapping itself is ridiculously fun. During beta, I kept getting sucked into mapping instead of coding 😅 The best moments are when you manage to sync a complicated area—like a maze-like medina with no Street View—and everything finally lines up. It’s genuinely satisfying.
Now I’m dying to know: is this addictive for other people too, or is it just my weird personal hobby?
Please try it out and tell me what you think—feedback (and feature requests) are very welcome!

Who hunted Geovids?
Geovids was hunted by Keita Ono. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
