When it detects a likely loud interruption, it lowers the volume to a comfortable level, then restores it when music returns. On Windows, browser companions improve detection for web playback. It does not block, skip, or mute ads; playback keeps going. One-time licenses work across supported Windows and Android devices.
We built Gentle Volume for the moments when a sudden loud break interrupts an otherwise good listening session. It watches supported Spotify, Pandora, and SoundCloud playback, lowers the volume when a likely interruption begins, and restores it when music returns.
It isn't an ad blocker: it doesn't skip or mute anything, and playback continues. The Windows app can target a music app's audio session; Android has its own playback detection.
