GenOverview
See where Google’s AI mentions you — and your competitors
GenOverview tracks which Google AI Overviews cite your domain, shows where competitors get mentioned and you don’t, and tells you what content to write to close the gap. Free during our beta — no credit card, live in 3 minutes.
I'm Maurice, and I've spent the past months building GenOverview solo.
Quick question: do you know if your domain is mentioned in Google's AI Overviews? If you can't answer that, you're not alone — that's exactly why I built this.
Google now answers a growing share of searches itself, right at the top of the results. Clicks go down, but classic SEO tools still only track rankings and keywords — they can't tell you whether you're inside the AI answer. There's a name for this discipline now — GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) — but most tools in the space are enterprise-priced and only start measuring from the day you sign up.
GenOverview does it differently:
1. Add your domain and instantly see your current and historical AI Overview mentions — no empty dashboard, no "come back in 30 days". 2. Track competitors and see exactly where they get cited and you don't. 3. Every gap comes with concrete content advice: which type of page (FAQ, comparison, service page) would likely close it. 4. Prioritize with AI Search Volume, our own estimate of monthly search volume per AI Overview topic — classic keyword volumes don't exist here, so we built our own.
A few honest notes:
- We're in open beta: all features are free right now, no credit card needed. After the beta there will be a free tier, and paid plans start at €15/month. - Data refreshes monthly (not real-time), and we email you when something changes — so you don't have to log in to check. - Built in the EU (the Netherlands), available in English and Dutch, and aimed at SMBs, freelancers, and agencies — not at enterprise brands with thousands of mentions.
I'd love to hear from you:
1. Add your domain and tell me: did your historical AI Overview mentions surprise you? 2. Are the content opportunities concrete enough to actually act on? 3. If you run an agency: what would you need before using this in client reporting?
I'll be here all day and will answer every single comment. Thanks for checking it out! 🙏
@fidelity This looks very promising, I'm still trying to build my AI presence and my results on @GenOverview show this, but will definitely keep tracking. The free tier is very generous too which is great, best of luck with the launch.
GenOverview is such a neat tool for keeping tabs on where Google AI Overviews mention you — and more importantly, where they don't. The idea of bridging content gaps with competitor insights is super smart, and having it all set up in minutes without needing a credit card is a win. Looking forward to seeing how this evolves during beta!

GenOverview was hunted by Maurice. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
