Genie
After-hours AI receptionist that books jobs while you sleep
An after-hours AI receptionist that answers every call, knows an emergency from a can-it-wait, and books the job while you sleep. Live in 7 working days. If it doesn't book you a new job in 30 days, you don't pay.
the same painful pattern kept jumping out at me for small trade firms — most after-hours calls just hit voicemail. And for a plumber or heating engineer, an 11pm "no heat" or "burst pipe" call is often a £1,000+ emergency job that's gone to the next firm by morning. The work is right there — you're just asleep.
Genie answers on the first ring, sounds human, works out whether it's a genuine emergency, books the job, and texts the owner the details. They sleep — it works. No voicemail, no lost jobs.
Instead of vanishing for six months to build every feature, I got it in front of real trade firms first — to be sure it solves a problem they'd actually pay for, and to shape it around their feedback rather than my assumptions.
Backed it with a simple promise: if it doesn't book you a job in 30 days, you don't pay.
Early days, so I'd genuinely love your feedback — especially if you run (or know someone who runs) a trades/home-services business. What would make you actually use this? Brutal welcome

Who hunted Genie?
Genie was hunted by Dog Eat Dog Studio. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
