Gearheads are everywhere online but the community is fragmented across dead forums, algorithm feeds, and comment sections. GarageIQ brings it together in one place, where your profile is your garage and the tools to buy, maintain, and sell live alongside it.

Hey everyone, I'm the founder of GarageIQ. I've owned several cars over the years and somewhere along the way started tracking everything in spreadsheets: purchase price, service, mods, insurance, financing interest. It's interesting to see what this hobby actually costs over time (hint: a lot), and the records matter when it comes time to sell.

The problem is how tedious it is. Digitizing receipts, keeping the spreadsheet current, figuring out what something should actually cost. Between that and combing forums and Reddit threads whenever something breaks, you spend a lot of time not behind the wheel.

GarageIQ started as a fix for the first part: snap a photo or upload a PDF of a receipt and it gets filed automatically in your virtual desk drawer, sorted to the right car. From there it grew into cost and maintenance tracking, and a shopping tool that gives accurate price predictions on auction and dealer listings for enthusiast cars specifically. I then built a social layer to wrap around these features with a modern UI (to contrast some of the aging forums) and an organic rather than algorithmic feed to emphasize the local community aspect. Your cars and records are the core of your profile, so you can really showcase what you've owned and the work you've done.

Would love any feedback.

Who hunted GarageIQ?

GarageIQ was hunted by Pranav Saba. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
