Ganymede
A free code and security LLM with a 1M-token context
Ganymede 1.1 is a free LLM for reviewing code and finding security bugs. It reads up to 1M tokens, so a whole repo fits in one prompt. Use it in the browser or through an OpenAI-compatible API in tools like Cline, Continue, opencode or Kilo Code.
Hi everyone, I'm Afonso. I'm 16, I live in the Netherlands, and Ganymede is the model I've spent about the last year building.
It started because I wanted a model that's actually good at the boring, important part of security: reading a lot of code and spotting what's wrong with it. Ganymede 1.1 is the result. It's built for code review and vulnerability hunting, and it has a 1M-token context so you can hand it a whole repo at once.
A few honest things up front:
Not every part is from scratch. Some pieces came from other models, and I'd rather say that than have someone find it later.
The benchmark numbers on the site are my own internal runs. They're preliminary and haven't been independently verified.
It's free right now, in the chat and through the API. I'm a one-person company, so if it gets slow, that's why.
You can try it at chat.merkium.nl, or plug it into Cline, Continue, opencode or Kilo Code with the OpenAI-compatible API.
What I'd really like from you: throw real code at it and tell me where it's wrong. Missed bugs, false alarms, bad fixes, anything. That's the feedback that makes the next version better.
Thanks for reading. I'll be here all day answering questions.

Ganymede was hunted by Afonso Faro. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
