I built this because people blame the wrong thing: a pad fails in a game, they buy another, and it behaves the same.
So the app reads what Android reports and says what is broken. Where it cannot reach — the Xbox light bar over Bluetooth has no LED output report, so no app can drive it — it says why instead of a color picker that does nothing.
What it will not do: it reads input only. It cannot remap buttons, update firmware or repair a worn stick — a mapper is a different tool, and I would rather point you at one than pretend.
The three failures look identical from the outside: the game never listened, Android never exposed the motor, or the stick is genuinely worn.
I still test on the Pixel 6 and DualShock 4 this was built against. What are you checking, and on which phone?
