Galley
A beautiful, free Markdown reader. Set it as your default.
I made a free Markdown reader for your Mac. Double-click amd file and get a clean, typeset page instead of raw text. Read-only by default, with a quick edit mode when you need it. Five themes, open source, no tracking. Set it as your default and enjoy a beautiful MD reading experience.
Hey, I made a free Markdown reader for the Mac.
Double-click a .md file and it just renders nicely instead of showing raw text or opening in your code editor. It's read-only by default (there's a quick edit mode if you need to fix something), has five themes, and renders Mermaid diagrams and math.
I built it because I wanted something simple to set as my default .md viewer and nothing quite fit. It's free, open source, and doesn't track anything.
Would love for you to try it and let me know what you think.

Who hunted Galley?
Galley was hunted by Jessie Salas. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
