Gadget turned my idea into a real Shopify app—without any prior development experience.
Before discovering Gadget, I had nothing more than an idea—an app concept that I believed could solve a real pain point for many Shopify merchants. The problem? I had no clue how to build it.

First of all, congratulations on your launch! One thing I'm curious about, VS Code also offers similar features that are attracting a lot of users. So how do you plan to make this stand out and perfect it for your audience?
At Code, we found Gadget to be a game-changer for our development process. Before Gadget, we built custom and native Shopify apps on Google Cloud Platform (Firebase), which required manually setting up installation procedures, webhooks and data storage.
Gadget handles all the foundational elements automatically – hosting, installation procedure, webhooks, data storage – allowing us to focus solely on building client-specific functionality. Development is significantly faster now, and we can deliver results to clients much quicker.
The addition of background actions was particularly valuable, eliminating our need for separate Google Task Queue environments.
Being able to offer both frontend and backend services within one agency has been critical for attracting clients who prefer a single-agency solution. It's transformed our business model – previously we avoided custom app development due to complexity and maintainability, but now we confidently offer these services.
I would really love an IDE for Mobile, imagine coding while you're waiting in line haha.
