I’m JC, the creator of Fruitask.
The story behind Fruitask started out of pure frustration. Runing a small team meant we heavily relied on tools like Airtable and Asana to keep our operations moving. But as our team grew, the "per-user, per-month" subscription models quickly became a massive financial bottleneck. To cut down on expenses, we reluctantly moved back to spreadsheets but we completely lost that streamlined, cohesive application feel.
That’s when I decided to build an internal MVP to solve our own problem. Over time, that MVP evolved into Fruitask a complete work operating system designed to give teams and freelancers everything they need without the subscription trap.

How does the free tier actually hold up in practice, especially around the work agents and automations. Are there usage caps or is it genuinely unlimited for solo users?

The all-in-one setup actually feels light instead of bloated, and the work-agents are a nice touch for repetitive tasks. Calendar syncing with notes was smoother than I expected for a free tool.
