A clutter-free location-sharing app to meet up with friends: - See friends' live locations - Share plans for easy meetups - Stay connected while traveling - Privacy-first: only trusted friends can see you
We were inspired by apps like Find My Friends and Snapchats SnapMap—but wanted something more private, more intentional, and actually designed for close friends.
Unlike Find My, we don’t share your exact location all the time—just enough context to help your friends know if you're around or free. And unlike Snapchat, there’s no public map, no feeds, and no strangers—just your people.
Other social apps are filled with noise, brands, or features you don’t really need to spend time with your actual friends. FriendMap is design to be different: no feed, no followers, no pressure. Just a simple way to check in, see your circle, and make real life plans easier.
The solution
→ See friends on a map
→ Share photos and updates about what you're up to
→ See upcoming plans and trips
Excited to hear what you think, and if you'd want this to be on Android too to stay closer to all your friends. Don't hesitate to leave a comment, or if you prefer email [email protected] - we would love to hear from you.
I absolutely love this app. Its so simple, not cluttered, and secure. I can invite my trusted friends who respect each other's privacy. The best feature is how I get to see who is close by and wants to meet up for a drink. I highly recommend this app to those who want to escape the mess of FB.
I see people sharing their location with each other often. Smart move to make this its own network!
Haha, okay, I’m totally guilty + lowkey obsessed with this app’s clean vibe for stalking (er, keeping up with) my friends’ live locations and travel plans. Privacy-first is a win, too! Great work, y’all—gonna be creeping on my crew all day ahahah
Useful for the semi-nomadic folks like me. But it's so hard to get a critical mass of my friends on a new app.
