Hi all, I made this. I've played for years and still sometimes struggle with finding notes. Watching video tutorials never quite clicked with me. I wanted something I could practice endlessly and keep track of my progress, so I built a quiz app for it.
The app asks things like "what's the note on the 7th fret of the A string", "which chord is this diagram", "which CAGED shape covers this position". You can pick the answer from a list, or you can just play it on your guitar and the app picks up the note through the phone mic and tells you if it was right. No cable, nothing to plug in.
You can scale your practice up or down too. Quizzes can cover notes, chords (majors, minors, 7ths, with maj7/min7 and barre chords all as options), or the five CAGED shapes. Difficulty levels change things like how many answers you're offered and how close the wrong ones are.
It costs $1.99 once, no subscription, no account, no ads, and it works offline. The mic audio is analyzed on the phone and never stored. Android version coming soon.
