Hi Product Hunt! I'm Mohammed, a freelancer based in Paris.
What inspired me: between two contracts, every freelancer faces the same things alone - platforms, agencies, middlemen, and rates nobody talks about. At the same time, we all turn down leads because we're already busy, and those leads just get lost.
The problem I wanted to solve:
- Knowing who's available right now, without scrolling job boards
- Passing on the contracts you can't take to people you trust
- Getting honest answers about rates, clients and agencies from peers
How it evolved: I started with developers in mind, then realised the problem is the same for trainers, product owners, project managers, designers, consultants and writers. So Freedispo became open to every trade. I kept it simple on purpose:
- One-tap status (available, soon, on a contract)
- A feed of leads, questions and lessons learned
- A directory filtered by skill and city
- Messages between members without exposing your email
- No password: you sign in with a code sent by email
It's free, in French and English, and works as an app on your phone.
