FreeD Trigger bridges broadcast camera tracking and lighting control. It receives FreeD packets over UDP, monitors position and orientation, evaluates configurable rules, then sends DMX through Art-Net or sACN. Build location-aware lighting cues, automated follow-spot logic and virtual production triggers with fades, hold times, edge detection, channel-conflict checks, diagnostics and reusable project files.
I built FreeD Trigger because camera tracking data is valuable beyond virtual-camera movement. A tracked camera already knows where it is and where it is pointing, so that information can also automate lighting and show control. FreeD Trigger turns position or orientation conditions into reliable Art-Net and sACN actions without requiring a custom middleware project. I am looking for feedback from virtual production studios, broadcast operators and lighting designers using real FreeD workflows.
