Foqus is different. More than just a site blocker. An open source, privacy-first tool that motivates you to create healthier online habits through beautiful UI, motivating text, and browsing habit summaries.

Top comment

I'm excited to share my first Chrome extension with you! Foqus encourages you to create new habits in several ways: 1. A ‘visit’ list lets you specify sites that you would like to visit more. 2. A beautiful block screen and encouraging messaging throughout. 3. Behavior trends summary and data export ability I have tried several site blockers, but I always found myself trying to game the system. Foqus helps me pause and make an active choice about what to do next. Maybe it can help you too. This is only first iteration, so any user feedback is welcome! Specifically: - Are the browsing summaries useful? - Do you end up visiting the site in the visit list more as a result of using Foqus? - What other data insights are you interested in? - What would make you more likely to use Foqus?

Comment highlights

The block screen is aesthetically pleasing and helps me not immediately unblock to go back to whatever distracting site I was on :) I also really like the countdown bubble in the corner when the block timer is running low. Great tool :)
