I'm a product designer by day, and I kept running into the same annoyance: whenever I needed to write something short, like a simple contract or a quick note, I'd open Word or Google Docs and immediately get lost in menus, pop-ups, and features I never asked for. That frustration is basically why Foglio exists. I just wanted one clean, private space where the document is all you see.

when typing in a language that uses an IME (korean, japanese, chinese), validation often fires while the characters are still being composed. so you get an error for an invalid input that you're still in the middle of typing.
listening for compositionstart / compositionend before validating fixes it. easy to miss if you don't test with those input methods.
