Focus Space
Privacy-first Pomodoro timer with dynamic Lo-Fi themes.
Hey Hunters! 👋 I’m , Ananth Subramaniyan the solo developer behind Focus Space.
The Problem: I love the Pomodoro technique, but I was incredibly frustrated by the current apps on the market. They require account sign-ups, track your personal data, or completely freeze your timer the second your mobile browser goes to sleep. I just wanted a clean, aesthetic space to do deep work.
The Solution: I built Focus Space. It is a 100% offline-first Progressive Web App (PWA).
Here is what makes it different:
🔒 Zero Tracking: No backend, no accounts, no analytics. It runs entirely in your browser's local cache.
🛑 No Background Throttling: I built a custom timestamp engine so your timer never desyncs, even if you lock your phone screen.
🎧 Built-in Mixer: A native Web Audio mixer to blend rain, cafe sounds, or brown noise with a built-in Lo-Fi radio.
📱 Native Mobile Feel: Installable to your home screen with a custom swipe engine to flip through animated background themes.
Since it caches dynamically, once you load it, you can turn off your Wi-Fi and it still works flawlessly.
I built this for myself, but I hope it helps you find your focus too. I'll be hanging out in the comments all day—I would love to hear your feedback on the UI, or let me know what ambient sounds I should add in the next update!
