I’m Michael, the maker of FocusForm.
I built FocusForm because I kept running into the same small annoyance on my Mac. Every time I switched between writing, coding, design, research, or client work, I had to rebuild my workspace again.
Same apps. Same folders. Same websites. Same window positions.
It sounds small, but it adds friction before you even start working.
FocusForm lets you set up your Mac for a task, save that setup as a snapshot, and restore it later with one click. It can reopen your apps, files, folders, websites, and bring windows back to where they were.
I wanted it to feel simple. Not a big automation suite. Not another complicated productivity system. Just a useful Mac tool that helps you get back into the right workspace faster.
It is free, works locally, and supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
I’ve been building and releasing a handful of small macOS apps lately, mostly because I love making tools that solve little problems. FocusForm is the newest one, and I’m still improving it.
I would really appreciate feedback on anything that feels confusing, broken, or worth improving. I usually try to update my apps pretty quickly when people point things out.
