Flux brings everyday file downloads, supported video/audio sources and torrents into one free, open-source Windows app.
Highlights in 2.2.0:
• Automatic or manual connections, verified pause/resume checkpoints, SHA-256 verification, queue controls and bandwidth limits.
• Chromium and Firefox extensions with browser capture and a movable media HUD.
• Media quality selection, audio output, subtitles and chapters through yt-dlp/FFmpeg.
• Native BitTorrent and magnet support, file selection, peer controls and seeding limits.
• 20 interface languages, local history, and installed or portable editions.
To connect your browser, install and enable the Flux extension, then open Flux once so its local bridge can register automatically. Settings → Browser integration includes a repair action if needed.
The current release targets Windows x64. Media support depends on accessible sources; Flux does not bypass DRM or login challenges. Flux’s own code is MIT licensed.
