Hi PH community! I’m Yurii, the founder of Fluently: AI English tutor ✌️

Super excited to share a fun side project we’ve been working on: Fluently Accent Guru - an English accent test.

Why did we build it?
I’ve been learning and speaking English as a second language for years, and I know the feeling when you think you sound okay… but you’re not really sure how others hear you. So we wanted to create something simple, fast, and surprisingly accurate - a way to get an honest snapshot of your accent.

Just speak for 30 seconds and Accent Guru gives you:
• Your accent origins
• A “Native Meter” showing how close your speech is to a native speaker
• Insights on reducing your accent
• Sound-by-sound tips

So instead of just “You sound French,” you get a mini voice-analysis report. And yes, it’s free!

Accent Guru is part of Fluently: AI English tutor app. So, if you want to go deeper and improve your speaking skills, you can try Fluently as well (PH users get a 50% discount):

Play with Accent Guru, try to fool it, share it with friends - and tell me if we guessed your accent correctly! Always curious to see the results 😄

Surprisingly spot-on! Great starting point if you're curious about your accent or want to work on clarity.

Congrats on the launch! @Fluently: AI English coach

Just starting to speak and I'm so hooked, it almost got me exactly the pronunciations that I got wrong and how I can improve.

Just completed the onboarding and feels super nice

Congratulations on the launch 🚀 A much needed product for non native speaker like me.

Almost - I am Aussie but when I read I read in my upper class accent and it may sound British.

It's a cool product!

I took the fluency test and I guessed correctly everytime. I loved the design. Best of luck for the launch.

Cool! So interesting, my wife is Slavic, but she study Spanish, and her accent is spanish/latam 65% and 35% Italian 😂

I’ve gotta say, Fluently’s exactly what I’ve been needing as a non-native English speaker in tech—having a 24/7 coach that fixes my work call mistakes (vocab, pronunciation, all that small stuff) and costs way less than a human tutor is such a solid win. I’m always stressing about fumbling client-specific terms on weekly syncs; right now I just overthink those calls after they end, but this’d let me practice those tricky moments right away or prep before a big one. Do you have plans to add industry-specific vocab packs (like tech jargon) for folks in niche roles?

Very Interesting app and correctly predicted my CN accent... BTW, sometimes it failed to activate mic and couldn't record any voice.

@rebryk Congratulations. And happy product launch.

@Fluently: AI English coach Congrats on the launch! The 30-second accent detection is a clever hook, quick feedback keeps people engaged.
Curious how you're handling regional variations within the same language (like UK vs US vs Australian English). Does the AI suggest specific improvement areas, or just identify the accent type?

What a fun app - i felt the urge to try a few times to improve my accent - tried implementing the improvement suggestions right away!

Congrats on the launch! Tried Fluently and really like how it turns everyday chats into instant, actionable English coaching — super smooth and lightweight. Curious: Will you support more contextual feedback, like tailoring corrections based on industry or user goals?

Your site is awesome! Since English isn’t my first language, I’m really curious about pronunciation and excited to learn more.

I had so much fun simulating different accents and seeing if it detects them :)
It's pretty accurate!

I am from Brooklyn. It said that I am 60% Slavic, plus some Polish and German. Not sure what that means.
