After trying all sorts of notes apps and paying numerous subscriptions for the day-to-day running of our business, we decided to create one:
Flipnotes, focused first and foremost on one thing: how quickly can you capture a note, a thought, upon whipping your phone out?
Then it spread to photos, locations, which is truly new to notes apps, voice.
The other thought was, why do people still use physical notebooks? The ease of use, but also the feel, of flipping through your days, of travelling through your past. So we built Flipnotes to have day pages and to replicate that feel and built the Roll the Dice function to let you browse randomly.
Then we decided we wanted to log events and we build an auto-generating agenda.
And we wanted better search so we built an automatic categorization system for text and photos.
Then we used it for tasks and build a screen for that, and also a beautiful locations explorer to save your favourite places.
then it just became Flipnotes, and Flipnotes now seems like a thing that has existed forever, that should have existed forever.
