1.Simple daily statistics (XP/tasks from yesterday + 7/30-day chart) — no mini-games or complex dashboards. 2.Out-of-the-box multilingual support (RU/EN/ES/IT) — most niche competitors offer an interface in English only. 3.Entering a plan using free-form text. A user of mine simply writes a to-do list in a single line, and the app automatically parses it into individual tasks.
Hypothesis: motivation is sustained not by the complexity of the game system, but by a simple, emotionally resonant symbol of progress—a living, growing flame that can "go out" and "be reborn." This resonates more deeply with people than mere level numbers.
The problem: classic to-do lists and habit trackers are either too boring (just checkboxes) or too cluttered (RPG stats, inventory, character classes, like in Habitica)—and people quickly abandon both types.
The development trajectory (based on what we built) went like this: first, basic task entry and XP based on difficulty → then came streaks and "lives" (reimagining failure not as a defeat, but as a rebirth) → next, folders for organizing tasks → daily statistics → and finally, multilingual support and an onboarding tour for new users to ensure the mechanics were clear from the very first interaction.

Flame Life was hunted by Саня Пирожком. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
