After more than a decade leading NOC teams at a Managed Service Provider and writing a book on network flow traffic analysis (Mastering Network Flow Traffic Analysis), I kept running into the exact same frustration:
Traditional enterprise telemetry tools (NetScout, Kentik, SolarWinds) are insanely expensive and charge heavily based on data volume or EPS. On the flip side, open-source DIY stacks (ELK, Grafana) require months of engineering, constant maintenance, and high resource overhead just to query simple flow records.
