Like many of you, I wanted a clean way to track my monthly budget without the daily friction of manual expense entry. The mainstream automated solutions out there all shared the same glaring flaw: they require uploading your personal transaction logs, bank details, and financial history onto a remote cloud server.
I built Fiyex to prove we don’t have to trade our financial privacy for convenience.
Parsing SMS alerts locally feels like the privacy-first move fintech should have shipped years ago. Setup was smooth and the dashboard gave me actual insight into my spending without the usual cloud-tracking anxiety.
Privacy-first approach is genuinely refreshing, parsing SMS locally is such a clever workaround. One thing I'd love to see is a simple way to manually add cash transactions that never hit your bank account, since a lot of small daily spending slips through the cracks without SMS alerts.
