Walk, and a construction crew builds your city: shophouses, temples, Komtar. Buildings cost days of your usual walking, so it's fair at any fitness level. No purchases, no ads, no accounts. Your steps never leave your phone.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I walk a lot, and I found it boring. Step counters show you a number, and that's it. So I built Five Foot Way: every step you take is labour for a small crew building an isometric city inspired by Penang, where I'm from. You watch a building go from ground-breaking to finished, and at night the lamps come on.
A few things I cared about:
🏗️ Fair pacing. A building costs days of your own usual walking (a 14-day baseline), so someone recovering from injury builds as steadily as a marathoner.
🚫 Nothing to buy. No purchases, no ads, no accounts. Only your steps build the city.
🔒 Private. It reads step count only, and it never leaves your phone.
It's iPhone-only for now. I'd love to hear what you'd want built next. Which landmark from your city should I add?
