I’m the indie developer behind FitCast: Weather & Activity.I built this app because I was tired of opening a standard weather app, seeing a bunch of dry numbers, and still having to guess whether it’s actually a good time for a run, basketball game, or outdoor workout
FitCast does the math for you. It analyzes real-time live weather forecasts, precipitation to instantly score 18 different outdoor activities
But my favorite part to build was the Immersive Haptics. I wanted you to feel the weather through your screen. Using Apple’s Taptic Engine and custom soundscapes, a light drizzle feels subtle, while a heavy storm triggers intense vibration patterns
You can also save global cities from New York to Bangkok to track climate trends on the go
